Thrill Seekers Wanted!

Florida is home to a plethora of different theme parks sprinkled throughout the state. Some are more obvious, such as Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal in Orlando. However, there are many others that are newer to the scene or often overshadowed. One of the newer theme parks is LEGOLAND in Winter Haven. This is perfect for all ages, especially those who enjoy piecing together LEGO sets. Busch Gardens further west in Tampa, on the other hand, combines fantastic roller coasters with fascinating animal exhibits. Aside from theme parks, Daytona International Speedway offers exciting Nascar events, tours, and camping in the middle of the track throughout the year. It also offers the public the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of racecar driving lessons and solo driving around one of the most well-known tracks in the world. You can also choose a ride-along in the passenger seat as well.

Did We Mention the Wildlife?

Florida boasts a whopping 1,350 miles of coastline, ranking it 2nd out of all 50 states. It is home to unique habitats for many different animal species–aquatic and terrestrial. For those looking to finally obtain their scuba-diving license, Florida offers hundreds of lessons throughout the state. There are many fantastic spots for scuba diving and snorkeling alike. Located outside of the Miami metro area, Everglades National Park is perhaps the most important protected habitat in the entire state. It offers refuge to American alligators, manatees, and Florida panthers. The park is a must-visit spot for photographers and nature lovers alike. You won’t want to miss it!

16th Century Architecture

The oldest city in the United States happens to reside in Florida: St. Augustine. Founded in 1565, this city offers some of the most fascinating historical tours through colonial quarters and forts built centuries ago. There are also nice live music venues, theaters, and a thriving art community. If you are a big fan of architecture, there are still 16th-century Spanish buildings that have withstood the test of time. On the wilder side, St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park allows for the viewing of alligators, crocs, and more up close. The park also has a zipline you can take above all of the animals! If you are more interested in spending your time at the beach, St. Augustine Beach and Anastasia State Park should be at the top of your list!

We hope that this has been helpful for your trip planning and perhaps you will decide that Florida should be your next state to pursue locum tenens assignments in!
