The COVID-19 pandemic turned the workforce on its head. Now more than ever before, people are working from home.
Under the guidance of Janet Elkin, Independence Anesthesia and our sister company Icon Medical Network are growing rapidly. We’ve gone largely remote to be able to draw in new, experienced recruiters, client managers, and administrative staff from outside our little college town of Athens, Georgia. Along with an expanded pool of talent to draw from, workers are more time-efficient with an increased work-life balance, and the expenses tied to a central office space are mitigated significantly as more employees opt into working remotely.
In her Staffing Industry Review article this month, Janet details some of the strategies employed to keep the (now nationwide) teams close and communicative so that we can deliver best-in-class service to our providers and clients across the country regardless of time zone. Some of these strategies include conducting in-person meetings annually and getting to know our company members virtually through games and calls.
