Providing Resident CRNAs With Financial Aid Through Neaux La Made
Neaux La Made, an organization sponsored by Independence Anesthesia, was recently featured in an article by AANA. Recognizing the ongoing financial disparities experienced by many student CRNAs and pulling from their own school experiences, Brittany Santa Marina, DNP, CRNA and Mallory Simmons, DNP, CRNA, started Neaux La Made. Based in Louisiana, the non-profit organization’s main goal is to help underserved SRNAs gain the tools they need to graduate and reinforce skills, enabling them to become exceptional providers. Focusing on second and third-year resident nurse anesthetists, the organization aims to help these students complete nurse anesthesia school by providing resources, mentorship, and financial aid through Lagniappe Awards.
